Donald M. 'Donnie' Peirson

Donald M. 'Donnie' Peirson, 73 of North East, MD, died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in West Chester, PA, on April 2, 1938, he was the son of the late Earl and the late Ada Eller Peirson. Mr. Peirson was the beloved husband of Violet A. Thomas Peirson of North East, MD. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Donnie retired from Chrysler Corp. after 30 years of service working as a spray painter. He was a member of Auburn Regular Baptist Church, Landenberg, PA. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children: Linda Peirson Hammond of Elkton, MD, Luke Peirson of Chestertown, MD and Donald Peirson of Conestoga, PA; his grandchildren: Ricky and Chelsie Ayers, Samantha and Luke Peirson, Zachary and Danielle Peirson; and three great grandchildren; two brothers: David Peirson of Landenberg, PA, Jerry Peirson of Butler, TN and one sister: Jean Byrd of Elkton, MD. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Charlotte Gift, JoAnn Pennington and a brother: Gary Peirson. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening, August 22, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD and again on Tuesday morning starting at 10:00 AM prior to services at Auburn Regular Baptist Church. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Clarence Rowland, Rev. Fred Wyatt and Rev. Dave Edwards will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Auburn Regular Baptist Church, 500 Auburn Road, Landenberg, PA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: Seasons Hospice or the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, both in care of Crouch Funeral Home, P.A.
