Donald Eugene Mckinney

Donald Eugene McKinney, 62 of North East, MD, died Friday, April 11, 2008 at home. Born on September 25, 1945, he was the son of the late Robert Bruce and the late Mildred Irene Wharton McKinney. Mr. McKinney was the beloved husband of Catherine McKinney of North East, MD. He owned and operated Robbie's Garage for 25 years and also worked at Chrysler for 15 years. He enjoyed going to NASCAR races, dancing and his towing business. He loved spending time with family, especially with his grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include: two daughters: Melissa Heldmyer and her husband J.R. of Galena, MD and Krista McKinney and Steven of North East, MD; and his 5 granddaughters: Amanda, Amber, Rachel, Lindsay and Sarah. A private graveside service was held Monday, April 14, 2008 at North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to: The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, in care Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland 21901.
