Donald Way Beales, devoted son, brother and cherish friend, passed away suddenly at Saint John's University, on August 7, 2025, at the age of 36. Donald was born on June 11, 1989 in Somers Point new jersey.
Donald, also known as "Dougie", in baseball circles, grew to love baseball from the age of 9. He met Skip Wilson (Temple Owls baseball coach) at camp and soon become the bat boy for the Temple Owls baseball team. Upon graduation, Donald served as the Equipment Manager for several minor league baseball teams (Camden Riversharks, Washington Wild Things & Wilmington Blue Rocks) and at many universities (Cornell, University of Washington & Saint John's University). He crossed paths with many players and coaches over the years.
Donald is survived by his mother, Sharon Beales and brother, Michael Ballato of Penns Grove, NJ. His aunts and uncles, Diane & Gary Lobaugh and Jon Beales. He has many cousins within the England, Walbeck, Lobaugh, Rinaldi and Beales families.
Donald is preceded in death by his father, Jefferson Beales; and his grandparents, Richard & Elinor Schrack.
A Memorial Service held in Donald's memory will take place at 11 AM, on Saturday August 23, 2025 at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, 315 S. Main Street, North East, MD.
