Diane P. Sweetman

Diane P. Sweetman, 74 of Elkton, MD, died Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.

A lifelong resident of Elkton, she was born on November 20, 1941, the daughter of the late William and Vieno (Westerinen) Kennedy.  She was the wife of the late Herbert D. Sweetman who died on Aug. 3, 2000.

Diane enjoyed playing cards on Thursday night, swimming in the pool, watching tv and reading books.

She is survived by two sons: Chris S. Sweetman (Theresa) and Donnie R. Sweetman both of Elkton, MD; a stepson: Jody Sweetman of Bethany Beach, DE; three sisters: Betty Kennedy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Mary Lou Johnson and Carol Smith both of Pompano Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren; two great grandchildren with one on the way.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until service time.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home.
