Dewanna J. Gilbert

Dewanna J. Gilbert, 53 of Elkton, MD, died suddenly Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. She was born in Elkton, MD, on September 18, 1956. She was an Order Processor, Line Leader and Shipper for Avon Products, where she retired after 20 years of service. She was a blessing to all and will be dearly missed, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother. Survivors include her loving companion: Alfredo Rodriguez of Elkton, MD; her daughter: Dewanna "Esther" Negron of Elkton, MD; mother: Maudie Gilbert of Elkton, MD; and her siblings: Theresa Negron of Port Deposit, MD, Gena Brooks of DE, William "Hoss" Brooks, III of Darlington, MD, and Tony Gilbert of North East, MD. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Gilbert. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ralph Massie will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 PM.
