Denise T. (Thorpe) Holmes

Denise T. Holmes, 60 of Elkton, MD, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on February 8, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Samuel J. Thorpe and Jessie Thorpe, of Rehoboth Beach, DE.

She worked as a Customer Service Representative at Schumacher for 30 years.

She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and NHRA Drag Racing.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and Harley the pug.

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her loving husband of 32 years: Cecil Holmes; one son: Danny Meadows (Keri) of Bear, DE; her stepchildren: Crissy Finch (Chris), Loni Murphy (Tim) and Chas Iacono all of Wilmington, DE; a brother: Samuel Thorpe, III (Patty) of Bear, DE; a sister: Deidre Thorpe of Rehoboth Beach, DE; her six grandchildren: Logan, Delaney, Giuseppe, Emma, Thomas and Layna; two nephews and one niece.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Larry Johnson will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon until service time.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery.
