Delorse Marie (Barber) Hellstern

Delorse Marie Hellstern, 88 of Elkton, MD, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at home.

Born in Fairview, KY, on July 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Spurgen and Clara (Hamilton) Barber.

She was the owner/operator of the family bakery.

When her children were young, Delorse was a team mom for Babe Ruth Baseball and Cub Scout Den Mother.  She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, boating and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years: Maxmillion Hellstern, Sr.; their children: Eric Hellstern (Karen) of North East, MD and Deborah DeMatt (Neil) of Elkton, MD; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Delorse was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Christopher Hellstern and Maxmillion Hellstern, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
