Della Lee Reynolds

Della Lee Reynolds, 94 of North East, MD, and wintered in Everglades City, FL died Tuesday, August 2, 2005 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD. Born in Calvert, MD, on November 8, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Cloud and the late Flora May Mason England. She was employed by the Perry Point VA Medical Hospital as a personnel secretary, where she retired after many years of service. She was a member of the North East United Methodist Church and the Everglades City Community Church. For many years she sang alto in the church choir that was directed by her husband Charles. Mrs. Reynolds also typed the church bulletins for many years without one mistake. One of her greatest joys was to knit and crochet for her family members. Everyone loved to receive one of her beautiful sweaters, afghans, or slippers. Aunt Della also enjoyed fishing in Florida, sunbathing and working in her yard. Mrs. Reynolds is preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Reynolds, her twin sister Ella Levredge and her sister Francis Lilley. She is survived by her loving, devoted niece Fay Weaver who cared for her in the past several years. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Aunt Della was thankful for the kind and loving care received from all the staff at Calvert Manor Health Care. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday August 6, 2005 at the Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. There will be a viewing on Friday August 5, 2005 at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Rev. Donald Alfrod of the Union United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the North East Methodist Cemetery.
