Dawana Lee (Wiggins) Humphries

Dawana Lee Humphries, 70 of Elkton, MD, entered heaven Friday, September 16, 2022 at Christiana Care.

A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born on April 28, 1952, the daughter of the late Joseph Horace and Pauline (Osborne) Wiggins.

Ms. Humphries was the beloved mother of Timothy (Jill) Humphries, Joseph (Megan) Humphries, and Cassie (Robert) Denton. Ms. Humphries devoted her life to her children. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She especially took great joy in her grandchildren. In addition to her loving children, survivors include her grandchildren: Josiah Humphries, Isaiah Humphries, Emily Humphries, Garrett Denton, four step grandchildren and five great grandchildren, as well as several siblings, nephews and nieces.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Dennis Gilbert will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church. A celebration of life will be held at the church hall immediately following the service.
