David William Shiflett

David William Shiflett, 69 of North East, MD, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016.

Born in Los Banos, CA, on December 9, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert and Evelyn (Roberts) Shiflett.

Mr. Shiflett served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, retiring with the rank of Captain.  He worked as a Geologist for Occidental Petroleum.

One of his passions was riding and restoring motorcycles.  He enjoyed running marathons, reading, and music.  He was quite an artist.  Spending time with his family was the thing he loved the most.

Survivors include his loving wife: Shelly Shiflett; two sons: Patrick Shiflett (Morgane) of Rockville, MD, Michael Shiflett (Eebie) of West Orange, NJ; two brothers: Steven Shiflett of Healdsburg, CA, Raymond Shiflett of Oakland, CA; and his four grandchildren.

Memorial services, conducted by Father John Schaefer will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, 315 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will be held beginning at 10:30 am until the service time.
