David Delancey, 72 of Port Deposit, MD, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 in the Sun Bridge Nursing Home, Elkton, MD. Born in Delaware, on December 26, 1934, he was the son of the late Francis and the late Dollie Harrison Delancey. He was the husband of the late Alice Delancey who died June 6, 2001. Mr. Delancey was a life long resident of Cecil County, who served in the U.S. Army. He was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator, employed by United Paving, Elkton, MD until retiring due to a disability. He was a member of the New Life Faith Center in Pennsylvania, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include: a daughter, Barbara J. White of Elk Neck, MD; a son: Hal Perry of Ohio; one sister: Janet Wyatt and four brothers: Jimmy Delancey, Buddy Delancey, Francis Delancey, Lawrence Delancey; also 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by a daughter, Crystal M. Delancey. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
