Clyde H. Potter, age 74 of Elkton, Maryland, passed away Monday, February 16, 2004 at the Baltimore V.A. Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Potter was born in Tamarck, North Carolina on June 6, 1929. He was the son of the late Will and Blanch Thomas Potter. He was a resident of Cecil County, Maryland for 51 years. He was a retired pumper with N.V.F. in Newark, Delaware. He was a proud veteran who served his country in Korea with the U.S. Army from June 30, 1952 until June 10, 1954. He was a member of the New Life Faith Center. He enjoyed attending church and his word puzzle books. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Josephine Miller Potter, Elkton, Maryland, formerly of Boone, North Carolina, a daughter, W. Jane Campbell and her husband, Jerry, Elkton, Maryland; grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Campbell, and Jeffrey Alan Campbell, both of Elkton, Maryland. His siblings, Zella Lane, Elk Mills, Maryland Frank Potter, Hickory, North Carolina, and Lee Potter, Mountain City, Tennessee, and numerous nieces and nephews of Elkton, Maryland and North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Bruce Potter, Edith Brown, Mary Weaver, and Verlee Potter. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 21, 2004, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland. Visitation will be held 7:00pm until 9:00pm Friday, February 20, 2004, and 10:30am Saturday, February 21, 2004. The Rev. Larry Johnson, New Life Faith Center, Port Deposit, Maryland will officiate. Interment will be at the Church of Christ Cemetery, Elkton, Maryland full military honors. __________________________________
