Clifford "Buttons" Kline
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton, on March 1, 1929, the son of the late Samuel and the late Hilda (Laird) Kline.
Mr. Kline served during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He retired from A & P Stores after 31 years of service as the Dairy Manager.
He enjoyed sports, boxing; ice skating, ice fishing and gardening. What brought him the most enjoyment in life was his family and the time spent with them, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years: Ethel (Ward) Kline; his son: Larry Kline of North East, MD; 4 grandchildren: Chapin, Candice, Michael and Michaela Kline; 2 great grandchildren: Michaelynn and Gavin; and a half-sister: Betty Weaver.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son: Michael Kline who died on Jan. 23, 2004; a brother: Carroll "Cups" Kline and a half-brother: Harry Kline.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May, 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, where the family will receive guests on Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Interment will be private.
