Cleo Elendar Yates Duvall, 92, almost 93, of Rising Sun, MD, died Friday, September 28, 2007 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Russell County, VA, on December 19, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Barnet and the late Mary Slate Yates. She was the wife of 50 years of the late Paul Duvall who died in 1993. Mrs. Duvall started her working career as a Line Leader at Triumph Explosives, Inc., Elkton, MD; she worked as a clerk at a market and also at Delp's Antique's, both in Greenhurst; for 14 years she was a Machine Operator at Fawn Grove Sewing Factory, Rising Sun, MD; drove a school bus in Cecil Co. for 13 years; and lastly provided child care for her grandsons: Shawn Duvall Madron and Philip Duvall Madron. She was a member for over 60 years at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Rising Sun, MD, where she was a very enthusiastic sub sales person, and was active in the Ebenezer WSCS and the United Methodist Women; a member of Woodlawn Homemakers; and a lifetime member of the Ladies Aux. of Rising Sun Fire Dept., where she was active for over 50 years. Mrs. Duvall was well known in the community and family for her homemade pies, biscuits and rolls. She very much enjoyed traveling and visiting with people. Survivors are: her daughter: Marie Madron and her husband John of Colora, MD; Grandsons Shawn Duvall Madron and his wife Nicole; and Philip Duvall Madron; Great Grandsons Alec, Hunter and Brayden Madron, all of Colora, MD. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by three brothers: Woodrow, Claude and Homer Yates. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Ebenezer Church Road, Rising Sun, MD, with visitation starting at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Dr. Vernon Schmidt and Rev. Mark Maxwell will officiate. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
