Claude E. Buckland

Claude E. Buckland, 61 of Elkton, MD, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Summers County, WV, on November 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Paul Thomas and the late Emma Jean Willey Buckland. He retired from the University of Delaware, where he worked in Maintenance. Survivors include his loving fiancé: Dale Ann Land of Elkton, MD; stepchildren: Princess Boxer of Bear, DE and John Dellinger of Middletown, DE; his step grandchildren: Tori Davies, Cody Dellinger and Courtney Dellinger; his siblings: Jerry Buckland and Larry Buckland both of North East, MD, Jimmy Buckland of IN, Freda Fay May, Judy Sharp, and Roger Buckland all of North East, MD; and his fiancé's mother: Bertha Meredith of Elkton, MD. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, David Buckland. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
