Clarence Frederick "Rick" Wilson, 84 of Charlestown Manor, North East, MD, died Thursday, November 16, 2006 at his home. Born in Wilmington, DE, on September 4, 1922, he was the son of the late Clan C.and the late Louisa Gunther Wilson. He was the husband of Mabel Buckalew Wilson, North East, MD. He served during World War II in the Army and was a Disabled Veteran. He was a retired Marine Mechanic. He worked at Dravo Shipyard in 1942 during the war. He also worked for P.K. Motors, a Lincoln Mercury Dealer, and at Fort Christina Marina on outboard motors. Later he went to work for H.P. Norm Boat in Odessa, DE. Then he had his own business in outboard motor repair. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Minquadale Fire Company for 55 years; a member of North East United Methodist Church, North East, MD; and the Y.M.C.A.of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. He enjoyed gardening, woodcrafts, waterskiing, golf and traveling. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Shirley Conley and her husband Tom, of Milton, DE, Sandra Shaw and her husband Tom, of Wilmington, DE and one son: Thomas Wilson and his wife Lauree, of Rising Sun, MD Also two sisters: Doris Pyle, of Clayton, DE, Louisa Mae Mitchell and her husband Charles, of Wilmington, DE and one brother: Frederick Wilson and his wife Mary, of New Castle, DE, and a half-sister, Shirley Fritz and her husband Marty, of IL. Mr Wilson is survived by six grandchildren: Gary M. Hunter and his wife Sharon; Kelli Hunter Butler and her husband Alan; Scott R. Shaw and his wife Sara; Cara Shaw Hines and her husband Todd; Derrick T. Wilson and Shelby Wilson; five great-grandsons: Corry, Casey, Colby, Brady and Todd, Jr. and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Sunday, November 19, 2006 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 20, 2006 at 10:00 AM at North East Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD. Rev. Daniel T. Gedman will officiate. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to: Season
