Clarence W. Thompson, 79 of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away peacefully, at his home, on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Born in Wilmington, DE, on September 7, 1933, he was the son of the late Clarence W. Thompson, Sr. and the late Polly Wilma (Marino) Thompson.
He served during the Korean Conflict, in the Army, from 1954 to 1956. He retired from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, as a maintenance engineer.
Clarence was a life member of the NRA. He also enjoyed woodworking and oil painting.
Survived by his loving wife of 33 years: Shirley Kay Thompson and son: Jeffrey William Thompson of Annapolis, MD; and his stepchildren, Steven Graham of Elkton, MD; Lisa Lawson of Oswego, IL; Linda Hughes of Newark, DE; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM, at The Chapel at Maris Grove, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA.
A private interment will be held, at Gracelawn Memorial Park, Wilmington, DE.
