Clamon Benjamin Price

Clamon “Clay” Benjamin Price, passed away at the age of 87 on June 6, 2024 surrounded by his family.  He is preceded in death by his parents: Roea and Helen Price; his son: Richard Franklin Price; brother: Jaborne Price; sister: Alice Tweedy; granddaughter: Rachel Miller; son-in-law: Danny McClellan; and nephew: John Price.

He is survived by his loving wife: Lorene Marie (Brumit) Price; his children: Robin Suden (Ron); Annette McClellan: Sheila Slonecker (Rob), Rodney Price (Becky) and Jeffrey Price; his 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Clamon “Clay” Benjamin Price was born on August 16, 1936 in Creston, NC.  He found a home at Shagrin Gas Co., where he retired.

He was active in his community and church where he served our God.  He loved Jesus and loved sharing his faith to the community by going door to door evangelism, and driving the van for the Mary Randall Center and serving food at the Paris Foundation.

He was known as Poppy to his family and a friend or brother to many.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the funeral home to help with expenses would be appreciated by the family.
