Charlotte Wood Sharp (Charlie)
Born to Jane and Thomas (Buddy) Wood of North East, MD, on June 5, 1948, she departed this life on earth on April 6, 2015.
After graduating from North East High School, she began her career in banking at First National Bank of North East. From there, she joined the team at Maryland Bank (later MBNA) and was one of their first 100 “pioneer” employees. After 20 years, she retired as a First Vice President.
Charlie enjoyed entertaining, both at her home in Locust Point and at many boat anchorages in the Upper Chesapeake Bay, particularly under the bridge on the Bohemia River. On Friday evenings she could always be found at Happy Hour at Schaeffer’s Canal House, or the Chesapeake Inn.
Left to follow her on her journey to other places are her husband, Ronald Sharp of Elkton, MD; her sister, Carol Pedrick and husband George of Elkton, MD; and her brother, David Wood and wife Janet of Charlestown, MD.
Charlie would like to thank all of the caring staff at Season’s Hospice and Abbey Manor Assisted Living. Memorial contributions can be made to Season’s Hospice c/o Crouch Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street in North East, MD on Friday, April 10, 2015. Friends and family may gather beginning at 1:00 pm.
