Charlotte Mae Letts

Charlotte Mae Letts, 85 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Laurelwood Care Center, Elkton, MD. Born in WV, on January 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Grover Lyons, Sr. and the late Mayme Bowe Lyons. She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital at Perry Point after 22 years of service. She also worked at Cramer's 5 & 10 for many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making quilts. Survived to cherish her memory are her daughter: Edythe Simmons and her husband Charles of Port Deposit, MD; her son: Joseph G. Letts, Sr. and his wife Diane of Charlestown, MD; 3 grandchildren: Joseph G. Jr., Amy C., and Susan B.; and also 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Letts and siblings William, Sarah, Iva, Dolly, Marybelle, Charles, and Grover Lyons, Jr. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Paul Thomas will officiate. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
