Charles V. 'Snapper' Parrett

Charles V. Snapper' Parrett, 62 of North East, MD, died Friday, May 15, 2009 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in North East, MD, on August 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Elmer and the late Elizabeth Laird Parrett. He was a Boat Mechanic in Charlestown, Marina. He was a member of North East Volunteer Fire Dept., serving as Lt. in the Fire Police and on the Board of Directors. He also was involved with the North East Little League. Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy Parrett; his daughter: Beth Piatelli and her husband Steve; his grandson, Charles Vincent Piatelli all of North East, MD; a sister, Betty Hammond of North East, MD and two brothers: James Parrett of Rising Sun, MD and William Parrett of Charlestown, MD. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Harry, Milford, Elmer, Cecil and Howard, and 1 sister, Elizabeth. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
