Carrie Emma May Smith

Carrie Emma May Hamilton Smith, 83 of North East, MD, died Friday, December 7, 2007 in the St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, DE. Born in North East, MD, on August 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and the late Carrie Irwin Hamilton. Carrie was a homemaker, who enjoyed her family, ceramics, puzzles, and driving. Survived by three daughters: Barbara Smith and Kathleen Smith of North East, MD; Rebecca "Pat" Smith of Jackson, MI; and four sons: Leroy Hamilton and Leonard Hamilton of North East, MD; Butch Smith of Onondaga, MI; Lorren Smith of Harrison, MI; Two brothers: Harold Hamilton of North East, MD, and Albert Hamilton of Elkton, MD; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hamilton is predeceased by her: husband, Lorris L. Smith; Son, Tony Smith; and 4 brothers, Arthur, Harry, Clarence and Carvil Hamilton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD., where family and friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
