C. Kirk Ward

C. Kirk Ward, 66, of North East, MD, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born on October 17, 1939 and raised in Rising Sun, MD he was the son of the late Cassius and the late Louella Kirk Ward. Mr. Ward was a Tree Service Specialist for 35 years employed by Atlantic States Tree Expert Co., New Castle, De. He was also a Maintenance Supervisor for the town of North East for 8 years. Kirk was a social member of the V.F.W. Post 6027, North East, MD and the Upper Bay Museum. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and going to Ocean City, MD. In addition to his wife Janet Ward, North East, MD he is survived by: three daughters: Virginia Ann Slade and husband James of Coinjock, NC Lynn Owens and husband Wayne of North East, MD Karen Schweizer and husband John of Elkton, MD two sons: Charles Ward and wife Marie of Elkton, MD Earl Ward and wife Sharon of Elkton, MD Step Sons: Chuck Bean and wife Sharon of Elkton, MD Dave Bean and wife Robin of Elkton, MD Mike Bean and wife Anne of Colora, MD 15 Grandchildren 9 Great-grandchildren Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East. Family and friends may call from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, April 28, 2006 and from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the funeral home. Rev. James B. Jones will officiate Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East.
