Burl J. Phillips

Burl J. Phillips, 82 of North East, MD, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2006 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Clarksburg, WV, on May 10, 1923, he was the son of the late John O. and the late Dicie L. Miller Phillips. He was an Assembly Line Worker, employed by Chrysler where he worked for over thirty years and retired in 1978. Burl served in the U.S. Navy, WWII-U.S.S. Savannah. He was also a member of the Elkton Moose Lodge and V.F.W. Post 15, Elkton, MD. Burl is preceded in death by his companion Grace W. Bibb. He is survived by one step-daughter: Barbara B. Graybeal of North East, MD Grandson, Karl W Graybeal and wife Sharon of North East, MD Granddaughter, Karen Renninger and husband Brian of North East, MD Granddaughter, Charlene Graybeal of North East, MD 11 Great-grandchildren 1 Great-great-granddaughter Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where friends and family may call from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM .
