Buford W. 'Bunky' Hendrickson

Buford W. "Bunky" Hendrickson, 67 of North East, MD, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born on May 15, 1941. He was an Engineer for 44 years for James Julian Construction. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Port Deposit, MD. He enjoyed sailing and was a car enthusiast, winning a competition at Daytona. Survivors include his sons: Heath Hendrickson and Eddie Hendrickson and his wife Debbie all of North East, MD; his mother: Mary Childress Hendrickson of Elkton, MD; siblings: Truman "Tommy" Hendrickson and his wife Wanda of North East, MD, Luna Racine and her husband Charles of Elkton, MD; granddaughters: Brittany Durkee, Amanda Hendrickson and great granddaughter Skyleigh Durkee all of North East, MD; 3 nephews and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Hendrickson. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 150 Downin Lane, Port Deposit, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Dennis Watson will officiate. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD. Please omit flowers. Contributions to the church may be made in memory of Mr. Hendrickson.
