Boyd C. Dickens

Boyd C. Dickens, 84 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024 with family by his side.

Born in Reidsville, NC, on July 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Comodoa “Pon” C. and Verna (Dickerson) Dickens.

Boyd retired from General Motors with 30 years of service.  He enjoyed going to turkey shoots.

Survivors include: his loving wife: Jerry Dickens; their children: Boyd Dickens (Cathy Faye) of Dubuque, IA and Sherrie Harris of Charlotte, NC; sister: Bertha Workman and brother: Herbert Dickens both of Logan, OH; 3 grandchildren: Kyle Harris (Fiancé, Crystal Dvorak), Ashley Dickens York, Colleen Dickens and Katie Saunders; 6 great grandchildren: Kyndra Harris, Boone York, Felix York, Alina Bucholtz, Elie Hopperman, Nora Hopperman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Boyd was preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy Workman.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow services in Hart's United Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
