Lois A.(Drost) Bell, 75, of Machesney Park passed away December 14, 2010 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, after a long battle with COPD. Born June 21, 1935 in Shopiere WI, the daughter of Roy and Evelyn (Meuret) Osmond. Lois lived her entire life in the Roscoe, Beloit, and Machesney Park area, living in her home in Machesney Park for almost 42 years. A home that was always open to family and friends. She worked and was retired from Atwoods in Rockford. Lois is survived by 6 children: Gary (Corrine) Drost of Juneau Alaska, Micheal(Sheryl)Drost of Roscoe, Cindy (Eric) Roe of Shirland, Clarice (Wayne) Ruf of Machesney Park, Colleen (Keith Liston)Lozdoski of Roscoe, and Charlene (Paul) Jackson of Machesney Park. 13 Grandchildren, and 11 Great-Grandchildren, (three more on the way). One sister, Beverly (Sid Fosnow) of Ione WA, and one brother, Lenard (Regina) Osmond of Machesney Park. She is predeceased by her parents. The family would like to give special thanks to Mom's special care-giver and friend Daveena Kuklinski, and to friend Kelly Gabel who became like daughters to her. Thank you also to Northern Illinois Hospice for all their support and assistance. Funeral services will be at 11 am. Tuesday, Dec 21 in Honquest Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe. Visitation is 5-7:30 pm. Monday, Dec 20 in the funeral home. Burial in Roscoe Cemetery.
