Billie Maxine Kozycki, 83 of Elkton, MD, formerly of Bowleys Quarters in Baltimore County, MD, passed through the gates of heaven on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
Born in Maud, TX, on September 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John Oliver and Rheba (Lovelady) Culpepper. She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Kozycki who died in 1988.
Mrs. Kozycki was a member of Cecil Woods Community Association. She enjoyed puzzles, board games, crocheting, sewing, gardening, traveling and cooking. Billie was known for her kindness and generosity, vivid stories about traveling, growing up on the farm and her life experiences, and the ability to always make people laugh.
She is survived by her nephew (foster son): Stanley R. Bensley of North East, MD; her siblings: Betty Clements, Dennis Culpepper, Lanelle Munger, Martha Whatley, Johnny Culpepper, Diana Brown and Vickie Guest; extended family members: Louise Bensley, Renee Bensley, Jessica Bensley, Judy Weitzel, Sandee Rousseau and various nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Jimmy Culpepper, J. O. Culpepper, Gloria Cook, and Jerry Culpepper. She was also preceded by her nephew and his wife, Arthur F. Bensley Jr. and Marlene Bensley.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
Interment will follow services in Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, Baltimore, MD. A reception will be held at the VFW in North East, MD following interment beginning at 1:30pm.
