Betty Jane Western

Betty Jane Western, 79 of Rising Sun, MD, died Saturday, February 12, 2005 in her home. Born in North East, MD, on March 20, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Andrew B. and Mabel V. Bryan Ferguson. She was a life long resident of Cecil County, MD. Mrs. Western was a homemaker, and raised 44 foster children. She wnjoyed puzzles, crocheting and canning. She was the wife of the late, Richard "Dickie" H. Western, who passed away in 1994. Survivors include her five children, Ernie Macki, Chicago, IL, Robert Meadows, Marathon, FL, Debbie Meadows, Sandy Western, and Stephanie Pierce and her husband, Kevin, all of Rising Sun, MD; sister, Janet Fanning, North East, MD; and nine grandchildren. The viewing will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 11:00 AM, at Crouch Funeral Home. Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
