Betty Louise Warren

Betty Louise Meekins Warren, 83 of North East, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD surrounded by her loving family. Born in North East, MD, on December 14, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Jesse O. and the late Florence A. Meekins. Betty worked at Bainbridge and Aberdeen Proving Ground for 33 years, retiring in 1980. She then dedicated her time to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and cards and going to Delaware Park. She is survived by her daughter: Betty Jo Truslow and her husband Larry, Sr. of North East, MD; two sons: Jesse R. Warren and Ellwood V. Warren, Jr. both of North East, MD; her grandchildren: Larry Truslow, Jr. and his wife Joy, Susan Banker and her husband Doug, Jessica Cook and her husband Cecil, Ellwood Warren III and Rachel Warren; and also 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ellwood Warren, Sr.; a sister Verna Martino and two brothers Dudley and Roland Meekins. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends starting at 1:00 PM. Rev. James Jones of Janes United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary Anne's Cemetery, North East, MD.
