Betty Cochran Mccann

Betty Cochran McCann, of North East, MD, went home to be with the Lord on April 19, 2005, at the age of 73. She was a daughter of James Alexander Cochran of Little Britain, PA, and the late, Thelma Kauffman Cochran. Betty retired from the Cecil County Board of Education, working at the North East High School for nearly 25 years. She was a member of The Church of God, Oxford, PA, and a past member of the North East Church of The Nazarene, North East, MD, where she directed the Cradle Roll. She loved spending time with her family, collecting Dutch shoes, and sewing. She is survived by her children, Donna Moore and husband Roger of Conowingo, MD, Paul Johnson and wife Sandy of Smyrna, DE, Jackie Hollenbaugh and husband David of Elkton, MD, Tonya Johnson of Mountain City, TN, and Jamie McCann of Conowingo, MD; grandchildren, Jolene and Mark Patey, Julene Moore, Roger Darrell Moore, Otto and Kristin Moore, Michael and Kristy Johnson, Timothy and Christine Solinger, Carrie Solinger, Nicole and Kenneth Kiess, Lauren Hollenbaugh, Kristin Hollenbaugh; great-grandchildren, Keri, Elizabeth, Hannah, Timothy, Chance, Joshua, Megan, Tyler, Mollie, Zachary, Jadeyn; siblings, James Cochran and Lillian Phipps, both of FL, Louise Rowland of PA, Nancy Henderson of MD, and Rex Cochran of PA. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, April 22, 2005, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2005, at the funeral home. Rev. Loretta Saponaro will officiate. Interment will follow services in the North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. The family will accept flowers; however, memorial contributions may be made to the Cecil County Special Olympics, 110 North Street, Elkton, MD, 21921.
