Betty May Letts

Betty May Goodnow Letts, 78 of North East, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2007 in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness. She was born May 27, 1928 in North East, MD, to the late Walter W. and the late Loretta E. Todd Goodnow. After graduating high school, Mrs. Letts was employed for a time at the Continental Corp. in Newark, DE before choosing in 1952 to marry and start a family. Betty was a homemaker and a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt. In addition to her family she enjoyed music, dining out and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert H. Letts in 1994 and a brother, Donald W. Goodnow in 2000. She is survived by two sons: Robert Keith of North East, MD, Kevin Gary and daughter-in-law Pamela of New Castle, DE; brother: Kenneth L. Goodnow of Elkton, MD; two nieces: Brandye and Kortnye;and a brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Dolores Letts also of North East, MD.
