Betty Lou (Sydenstricker) Cleary
Born in White Sulpher Springs, WV, on June 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Harry and the late Mary Pauline (Priest) Sydenstricker. She was the beloved wife of J. B. Cleary of North East, MD.
Betty retired from Pinkerton Security where she worked as a Security Guard for over 17 years. She collected porcelain dolls, enjoyed music and flowers.
In addition to her loving husband, survivors include her children: Lee May of North East, MD, Mary Honaker of Bulls Gap, TN, Kenny May of North East, MD, Bertha Andrews of Rising Sun, MD, Joyce Buckland of North East, MD, Ernie May of Port Deposit, MD, Alice Musick of North East, MD and Anna Morrison of North East, MD; a brother: Tom Sydenstricker of Richmond, VA; 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 3 children: Roy May, Carol Sue May and Brenda Carol May; 2 sisters: Violet Culley, Evelyn Neeley; and 2 brothers: Harry Sydenstricker, Jr. and Roy Sydenstricker.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Hokuf will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation being held on Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
