Bertha Ann Meredith, 93 of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Lovingly referred to as ‘Nanny’ and ‘Gigi’ by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she treasured her family who will miss her deeply. Bertha worked as a waitress for over 47 years at the Post House Restaurant in Newark, DE.

Born in Fredericksburg, VA, on January 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Truslow and Ethel (Frazier) Truslow.

She is survived by one daughter: Dale Ann Land of North East, MD and one son: James (Anne) Shelton of Stafford, VA; 3 grandchildren, James Shelton, John (Angie) Dellinger and Princess (Mark) Burcham; 4 great grandchildren, Brooke Shelton, Courtney Dellinger, Tori (Erik) Yetter and Tyler Shelton.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Andrew, George, James Truslow and Ruby Wilson; her sons: Andrew and John Wayne ‘Punky’ Shelton and great grandson Cody Dellinger.

A gathering celebrating her life will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm at 1119 Court House Point Road, Chesapeake City, MD  21915.
