Berchie Mullins

With a sad and broken heart, I will try to write an obituary of Berchie Mullins, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Berchie was born September l4, 1933 at Wilford, Virginia, died July 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Michael Mullins, her mom and dad, Arthur and Ocie Mullins, 2 brothers Arlin and Farley Mullins of Grundy, Virginia, granddaughter Michelle Mullins. Survived by husband Van Mullins, son Roger Lee Mullins, his fiancée Carol Proudfoot, grandson Christopher Mullins, great-grandson Zion Mullins, brothers, Paul and Jack Mullins of Elkton, MD., sisters Josephine Matney and Myrtle Ward of Grundy, VA., a special adopted daughter, Janet Wilson and a host of family and friends to mourn her loss, she was a member of Elkton Advent Christian Church and retired from Plasticord. A Funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Shannon Hall was held Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Elkton Advent Christian Church in Elkton, MD. Interment will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2009, in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elkton Advent Christian Church, c/o Crouch Funeral Home.
