Benita Jones

Benita Jones, age 41, of Port Deposit, MD passed away at home on Friday, April 2, 2004. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 29, 1962 to Marie Jones of Philadelphia, PA and the late Ralph L. Jones, Sr. She moved to Cecil County in 1992. Mrs. Jones worked for the Board of Education, Cecil Community College, Golden Corral and Wendy's. Benita attended school in Philadelphia. She was a member of Trinity A.U.M.P. Church Zion, MD and North East Methodist Church, North East, MD. She leaves to mourn her fiance Tyrone Gray Laurel, MD; sons, Robert L. Jones, North East, MD, Elliott M. Jones, Perryville, MD; sisters, Celestine Hall and her husband, Lorenzo M. Hall, Sr. Elkton, MD, Adrian Mohamed, Coxbury, MA and Yvette Jones, Philadelphia; brothers, Darrell Jones and Ralph Jones, Philadelphia, 2 granddaughters, Belinda Jones, Bear, DE, and Kayla Jones, Perryville, MD, Daughter-in-law, Jessica, her close friend, Lisa Kellum, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter Tynita M. Gray and granddaughter Anrmonni D. Jones. Funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, April 8, 2004, Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Rev. Elaine Hammonds of Trinity A.U.M.P. Church Rising Sun, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Trinity Cemetery.
