Baynerd N. Delp
He was the husband of the late Irene R. Delp for 74 years.
Mr. Delp was born on December 16, 1919 in Pocahontas, VA and was the son of the late Howard and Hattie Delp.
He leaves to cherish his memory: one son: James W. Delp and his wife Yourtha of Felton, PA; one daughter: Julia Gail Massie and husband, Rev. Ralph Massie, Pastor of North East Church of God; and 5 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: James E. Delp and Eugene Delp.
Baynerd retired from Maryland Port Authority as a plumber; was a master plumber for the State of MD; and worked in southern WV coal mines for 20 years. After the coal mines, he also worked as a rodman for the WV Highways.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until service time.
Interment with full military honors will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to North East Church of God, in care of the funeral home.
