Barry Jay Collins

Barry Jay Collins, age 49, of North East, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at his home.

Born on November 5, 1976, in Elkton, Maryland, Barry was the son of Jody F. Collins and the late David Collins.

Barry was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by his family and those who knew and loved him. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and happiness. Barry found joy in life's quieter moments and the simple things that meant the most to him.

Barry is lovingly survived by his mother Jody I. Collins and stepfather, Terry Markus, of North East, Maryland; his brother, John Collins, of North East, Maryland; his daughters, Rebekah Rose, of Rising Sun, Maryland, and Brittany Davis of North East, Maryland; and his son, Jarod Collins, of North East, Maryland.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Collins.

Barry's passing leaves a sadness in the hearts of those who loved him. Though his time with them was far too short, the memories they shared and the love they hold for him will remain forever.

Funeral services will be held privately, allowing the family to remember Barry and honor his life together.
