Barbara Aileen Wood Yeatman

Barbara Aileen WoodYeatman, 58 of Elkton, MD died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Elkton, MD, on August 19, 1950, she was the daughter of Herbert M. and Eleanor Anne Dennis Wood of North East, MD. Aileen, a graduate of North East High School, was a free spirit who settled in Conowingo to raise her family. Her passion for reading led her to work in the library at Conowingo Elementary and later at Cecil County Public Library. She also enjoyed listening to old albums and gardening. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children Jesse Yeatman and his wife Sharol of Dameron, MD and Rachel Yeatman of Elkton, MD; her grandchildren Lillian and Henry Yeatman; her sisters Joan Milton and her husband David of Beverly Hill, FL; Susan Russell of Port Deposit, MD; Karen Sherman and her husband Tim of North East, MD; her brother Edmund Wood of North East, MD; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Rev. Mary Browne will officiate. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. Flowers are welcome, or if you wish, donations in memory of Aileen may be made to Friends of the Cecil County Library, in care of the funeral home.
