Barbara Fern Sadler

Barbara Fern Sadler, 67 of Rising Sun, MD, died in her home on Saturday, August 6, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Rising Sun, MD, on July 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George A. and the late Mary O. Hess Lewis. Barbara enjoyed ceramics and playing card games. She especially enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Mrs. Sadler retired as a Dietician from Perry Point VA Medical Center. She is survived by her husband: Allen Sadler, Sr.; five daughters: Vicki Brock of Rising Sun, MD, Ramonia King of Rising Sun, MD, Marsha Hamilton of Perryville, MD, Shelby Wadsworth of Rising Sun, MD, Candace Sadler of Rising Sun, MD and four sons: Allen Sadler, Jr. of Boiling Springs, SC, Scott Sadler of Chester, PA, David Sadler of Rising Sun, MD, Eric Sadler of Rising Sun, MD; four sisters: Sylvia Smith of North East, MD, Elsie Isaac of North East, MD, Rosemary Comer of Ronan, CO, Marquerite Haynes of Elkton, MD and four brothers: Frank Lewis of Wilmington, DE, Earl Lewis of Noxon, MT, Robert Lewis of Middletown, DE, Paul Lewis of Cape Coral, FL; 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Herbert G., George Jr., and David Lewis and 1 sister, Georginna Hawkins. Funeral services, conducted by Rev, Dennis Watson, will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD., with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow services in Bay View Cemetery, Bay View, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to: Pleasant View Baptist Church, 150 Downin Lane, Port Deposit, MD 21904.
