Barbara Ellen (Hewett) Plovanich

Barbara Ellen Plovanich, 97 of Elkton, MD, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at home.

Born in Pittsfield, MA on October 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late, Harold J., Sr. and Mary Ellen (Kelly) Hewett.

Barbara was a member of the Teugeca Country Club, The Rome Club, Rome Twigs and Skenandoah Golf Club. She was an avid golfer and lifelong antique collector with a keen eye for interior design and decorating.

Lovingly survived by her sons: Charles, Stephen and Jon Kevin Plovanich; one grandchild: Dr. Molly Plovanich and one great grandchild: Chloe Tsun.

In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her husband: Charles J. Plovanich, Sr.; and brothers: Harold, Jr. and Donald Hewett.
