Barbara Ann Grier

Barbara Ann Grier, 72 of North East, MD, died Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in West Chester, PA, on March 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Sam and the late Pearl Gentry Phillippe. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Grier who died on Aug. 1, 1977. She retired from Chase Bank where she was employed as a secretary. She also had worked at the Bank of New York, and the North East High School in the cafeteria. She was a member of Hart's UM Church, North East, MD. Survivors include her two sons: Robert A. Grier and Wayne T. Grier both of North East, MD; her siblings: W. Smith of Bay View, MD, Frances Crowl of Oxford, PA; her grandchildren: Justin Sexton, Sara Grier, McKenzie Grier; and great granddaughter, Isabelle Sexton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a brother, Ferman Phillippe. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hart's United Methodist Church, 3203 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Rev.
