Austin is survived by his mother: April M. Rhoades of Chesapeake City, MD; father: Jason T. Matheson of Mountain City, TN; 3 brothers: Allen Matheson of Mountain City, TN, Eric Rhoades and George Rhoades both of Chesapeake City, MD; his maternal grandparents: Connie & Arnold Hill of Chesapeake City, MD; paternal grandmother: Robin Joyce of Mountain City, TN; maternal great grandmother: Lorraine Varnadare of Mountain City, TN; and his aunt with who he had a close relationship with: Heather Peirson of Elkton, MD.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
