Ashley Summer Harris

Ashley Summer Harris, 24, of North East, Maryland, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026.

Born in Newark, Delaware, Ashley was the beloved daughter of Mark E. Harris and Stephanie Ann Cartwright. From the very beginning of her life, Ashley faced challenges that made her journey unique, but she brought her own special light into the lives of those around her.

Ashley was a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend. Those who knew and loved her will remember her for the precious place she held within her family and for the many memories shared throughout her life.

Ashley was connected with Chesapeake Care Resources and was surrounded by the love and support of those who cared for her throughout her life. Her family remained an important part of her world, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Ashley leaves behind her loving father, Mark E. Harris, her sister Megan Harris, her grandmother Mary Rea, and other loved ones who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her mother, Stephanie Ann Cartwright.

Though Ashley's life was far too short, the love she gave and the place she held in the hearts of her family will never be forgotten. Her life was a reminder that every person has a unique and meaningful place in this world, and Ashley's place will always remain with those who loved her most.

May she now know peace, comfort, and freedom from every earthly struggle, and may her memory remain a blessing to all who loved her.
