Arthur A. Davis

Arthur A. Davis, 65 of Conowingo, MD, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at home. Born in Wilmington, DE, on November 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Nathan F. and the late Manie Gilbert Davis. He was raised and lived in Newark until 1992. Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army. He retired from General Motors in 1999 after 30 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Linda; a daughter, Roxann of Newark, DE; a son, Nathan of Conowingo, MD; a sister, Eleanor Buchanan and her husband Merritt of Van Buren, AR; two grandsons, Michael J. Geiss, Jr. and Jonathan B. Davis; two granddaughters, Katelyn R. Lockard and Alexis N. Beck-Davis; brother and sister-in-laws: Larry and April Stevens, Butch and Donna Reagan, Bobby and Peggy Davis, Jimmy Stevens, Bonnie and Tom Harlow, Myrtle and Robert Patterson, and a very large extended family. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Port Deposit, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dennis Watson will officiate. Interment will follow in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
