Arthur Ellsworth Baker, 99 of North East, MD, died Monday, February 9, 2015 in the Perry Point VA Medical Center, Perry Point, MD.
Born in Perryville, MD, on October 14, 1915, he was the son of the late Arthur E. and the late Edith (Smith) Baker.
He was a graduate of the Tome School and served his country admirably in the U.S. Army Artillery during World War II.
Mr. Baker retired from Linton Industries, Beltsville, MD where he was a Data Manager.
He was a member of American Legion Post #135, Perryville, MD, VFW Post #6027, North East, MD and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He enjoyed football, baseball and boating.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife: Ruth F. Baker and a stepbrother: William Fay of Havre de Grace, MD.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Bert Jicha will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until service time.
Interment with military honors will follow in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
