Anthony "Tony" G. Miller, 59 of Rising Sun, MD, a devoted husband, father and friend, died of a heart attack Friday, October 29, 2010 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Survived by his adoring and loving wife Alma "Jeanie" Miller. He was born in Havre de Grace, MD, on March 28, 1951, the son of the late Louis Michael and the late Jacqueline Hope Keebler Miller. He served our country in the U.S. Army. Tony is survived by his children: Christopher Miller of Abingdon, MD, Matthew Miller of Bel Air, MD, William Chestnut III of North East, MD and Athena Chestnut of Airville, PA; his siblings: Jacqueline Morrissey and her husband John Lex of Churchville, MD, and Victor Miller and his wife Mary of Bel Air, MD; his father and mother in law: Howard Speedy and Ruby Simpers of North East; grandchildren Joshua Olney, Jacob Miller, Zachary Miller, Noah Miller, Parker Miller, Liam Chestnut, Gavin Chestnut, Cole Chestnut, Sophie Chestnut, Mikey and Brian Thompson and many nieces, nephews and sister and brother in laws. He was preceded in death by his sisters Susan Miller Cox and Anne Miller Katz. Until his retirement, he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the NSCA and an AA Alumni, with 29 years of sobriety. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife and friends, shooting sporting clays, working on hot rods, spending time with his family, playing cards, fishing, tinkering, walking his dogs, Petey, Sadie and Twinkles and caring for his cat Pumpkin. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ralph Massey will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Thursday beginning one hour before the service.
