Ann—called Annie by some—grew up in Springfield, Delaware County, PA and graduated from Springfield High School in 1944. She lettered in girls’ basketball, also played field hockey, and was inducted into the Springfield High School Sports Hall of Fame.  Ann married Bob Sandford on January 27, 1955. They enjoyed 45 years of travelling and antique-hunting together until Bob died in 2000.  Annie worked at Boeing for 29 years, in payroll and labor records.  She also volunteered at the Newtown Public Library, Newtown Square, PA, for 20 years. And over her lifetime donated 160 pints of blood to the Red Cross.

Ann was a wonderful friend and a loving relative, with a big smile, a great sense of humor and a ready quip. She will be dearly missed and long remembered.
