Anna Maiorano Piatelli

Anna Maiorano Piatelli, 97 of Abby Manor Assisted Living, Elkton, MD, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Chester, PA, on June 4, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Giovanno and the late Antonietta Iovine Maiorano. A longtime resident of Cecil County, Mrs. Piatelli was a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, North East, MD. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and entertaining family and friends. Survivors include: one daughter: Antonietta Garzia of Boothwyn, PA; one son: Joseph A. Piatelli of Chesapeake City, MD; 7 grandchildren: Andrew Lepore of Chester, VA; Patricia Carroll of Elkton, MD; John M. Garzia of West Chester, PA; Mark A. Garzia of Boothwyn, PA; Gabriel M. Garzia of Federica, DE; Stephen J. Piatelli of North East, MD; and Amanda Lynn of Chesapeake City, MD; 4 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Domenico Antonio Piatelli; a son, Vincent J. Piatelli; a daughter, Philomena G. Lepore; and also her 10 brothers and sisters. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD. Father Joseph Piekarski will officiate. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to: St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, in care of the funeral home.
