Amy Marie (Mccardell) Wagner

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Amy Marie Wagner, beloved mother, sister, and friend, who left us on April 15, 2025, just four days after her 54th birthday. Born on April 11, 1971, in Elkton, MD, Amy’s warmth and compassion touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Ann (Richards) McCardell.

Amy spent her life serving others in the food service industry as a devoted waitress. Her kind heart and smiles brightened the days of many patrons and colleagues alike. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her profession; she was a loving mother to her seven daughters—Emily Gilbert of Colora, MD, Karrie Wagner of Elkton, MD, the late Grace Wagner, Jessica Wagner of Bel Air, MD, Carly McCardell, Mary McCardell, and Heather McCardell all of Colora, MD. Family was everything to Amy, and she cherished every moment with her loved ones, including her three treasured grandchildren.

Amy is also survived by her brothers, John McCardell of Rising Sun, MD, James McCardell of Colora, MD, and sister, Wendy Milledge of Clearwater, FL, all of whom will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Strengthened by the bonds of family, Amy’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She attended the Truth and Life Center, Elkton, MD.

Amy’s time with us may have been short, but her impact will resonate in our hearts forever. We will miss her laughter, her caring nature, and her unwavering support. May she rest in peace, surrounded by love, until we meet again.
